منجیل- بم

یک تفاوتی که زلزله بم با منجیل داشت، این بود که عمق کانون  در زلزله بم کم بود(حدود ۹ تا ۱۰ کیلومتر)، اما در زلزله منجیل عمق کانون زمین لرزه حدود ۴۰ تا ۴۵ کیلومتر بود وم دامنه لرزش آن خیلی بیشتر از بم بود. در زلزله بم بیشتر قسمتهای مرکزی شهر ویران شد، و اطراف شهر کمتر آسیب دید؛ اما در زلزله منجیل، لرزش زمین حتی در تهران هم احساس شد.(صحبتهای امروز استاد سر کلاس)

one of the challenges in reconstruction of earthquake affected areas is location or resettlement of the town or village

 

we should try to reconstruct the village or town in the previous location until we dont have significant limitations such as being an active fault in that place or geotechnical problems in soil of  that area

From the viewpoint of scycologic reconstruction  ,  it is better for the survivours to be settled in the familiar  place
